Quick Tip: User have the right delegation but can not reset password for specific user

A help desk person that have the right delegation to reset password, and it works for some users and doesn’t work for the remaining.

When the help desk person tries to reset password he finds that the (user must change password at next logon) check box is grayed out, and if he set a password for the user a message with (access is denied) will appear to him.

Please check that the user that you want to reset the password for him/her are not have the disable inheritance in his/her security settings.

You can check this by selecting (Advanced View) in Active Directory users and computers, then by going to the user properties the the security tab then the advanced button.
